Travel companies and authorised guides

The following information is aimed at travel companies and authorised guides who wish to visit the Royal Palace of Stockholm with groups. Below, you can read about independent visits, logistics, practical information, payment, tours with a palace guide, opening hours and planned closures.

Due to the situation with the coronavirus the Royal Palace is temporarily closed for all public activities until further notice.

Independent visits
We welcome external groups to the Royal Palace, but due to the coronavirus pandemic new routines apply.

Guided tours may not be held inside. All visitors must move individually inside the castle, in order to keep a safe distance from each other. Groups may only gather outside the palaces in such a way that it is easy to maintain safe distancing and for others visitors to pass by.

Our guided tours are cancelled until further notice, but self-guided tours of the Royal Palace and Drottningholm are available via the Swedish Royal Palaces app. Our audioguides for the Royal Palace and the Chinese Pavilion are also being made available at

Admission tickets
There are a limited number of tickets that are valid for a specific day and time slot. Purchasing an admission ticket guarantees entry at the time stated on the ticket. Admission tickets can be purchased online at the regular price.

Admission tickets with a tour operator discount can only be purchased at the entrance. There is a risk that there will be no tickets left until the exact time you want to enter. You are welcome to contact us before your visit to check availability. Contact information can be found further down this page, under Contact and requests.
