Evening gown of cerise pink façonné in silk and wool with a Lurex thread. The material comes from Valentino.

Jewellery

The Queen is wearing Princess Sibylla’s diamond tiara. The tiara was a wedding gift to Prince Gustaf VI Adolf’s first wife Margareta from her parents the Duke and Duchess of Connaught. Other jewellery worn by The Queen – earrings, a necklace and a brooch – make up a parure of diamonds and pink topaz gemstones.

OUR QUEEN – DRESSED FOR A NOBEL BANQUET
Year 2006 marked 30 years since Silvia Sommerlath became Queen of Sweden. It was, among other events, celebrated with an exhibition featuring the evening gowns worn by The Queen to the Nobel Banquets 1976–2006.
