Nobel Banquet 2001

Evening gown. A full-skirted gown of tulle, glittering with crystals. A tight pearl embroidered bodice. The gown was worn for the King and Queen’s silver wedding anniversary.

Jewellery

The Queen is wearing the Leuchtenberg Sapphire parure. The set consists of a diamond tiara with sapphires, pendant earrings with diamond-framed sapphires (originally hairpins), a diamond necklace with sapphires and nine pendant clusters as well as a diamond brooch with large sapphires.

OUR QUEEN – DRESSED FOR A NOBEL BANQUET
Year 2006 marked 30 years since Silvia Sommerlath became Queen of Sweden. It was, among other events, celebrated with an exhibition featuring the evening gowns worn by The Queen to the Nobel Banquets 1976–2006.
